Rockland, MA – Today, Alletess Medical Laboratory announced its purchase of the former corporate headquarters of the legendary local convenience store chain, Tedeschi Food Shops at 14 Howard Street, Rockland, MA. Tedeschi Food Shops started in Rockland in 1921 in its founder’s basement and grew to over $600 million in revenues and 187 stores before its sale to 7 Eleven in 2015. Alletess Medical Laboratory was founded in 1980 in Rockland, MA and has grown exponentially with expanding global demand for its food and inhalant allergy and sensitivity tests and reports.
“As the owner of a rapidly growing lab, founded by my late father, I am so excited to build upon the foundation of another local entrepreneurial family success story. We are excited to start the 20,000 square foot build-out of our new laboratory and the accompanying professional office space for our staff. This new headquarters provides us with a wonderful location and space to expand our operations to service our growing global customer base,” said Veronica Kent, President and owner of Alletess Medical Laboratory.
Alletess looks forward to providing local jobs, not only for the build-out of its new laboratory and corporate headquarters, but also for its growing need for laboratory technicians, customer service representatives and dietitians. Alletess has already started to build its connections to the local community by supporting the local fire and police departments and improving the infrastructure and landscaping on the corner of Howard Street and Main Street (route 139).
